Stellenbosch Wine Route
Situated just 45 minutes outside Cape Town, the Stellenbosch wine route is the oldest in the country and offers a superb repertoire of over 300 world renowned wineries.
The town of Stellenbosch is well know for its
oak-lined streets, decadent coffee shops, many boutiques and galleries, but above all for its vast repertoire of 44 cellars and award-winning red and white wines.
The wine route guides you through the wine farms that surround the town. Drive from farm to farm, tasting that wines that are offered and discussing wine-making with the wine masters is the Stellenbosch tradition. When you are ready from a break from the wine, you can enjoy a picnic, try some cheese tasting or have a sit down meal at one of Stellenbosch’s fine restaurants.
